FAQ
EcoGardener’s heavy-duty landscape staples are perfect to use for an ensured fastening ability of your landscape fabric. Whether you’re working in a soft or unstable ground, you’re sure to have a smooth and easy installation. These pins/staples are durable and easily penetrate landscape fabric, thus, making them ideal even for the most challenging landscaping designs.
A bag of 100 staples can cover 10 square feet easily. You don’t need too many staples to hold down the ground cloth. You can use less if you just want to hold down the landscape’s underlayment fabric.
In some gardens, a landscape fabric may pull apart or get loose after heavy rain or winter, allowing the growth of weeds. This is why you’ll need landscape fabric staples to hold the fabric in place. Since these staples are made from steel pins, the fabric will be anchored to the soil efficiently.
To use the landscaping staples, make sure to insert the pin every 8-10 inches along the fabric edges. Have a space of 12 inches from the center of the fabric. Avoid skimping on the pins so that the fabric will not come loose after several weeks or months. You also need to cut round holes to insert the landscape plants.
Tip: Use a rubber or plastic mallet for landscape staples. Using a metal hammer may cause repetitive motion injuries.
You can easily remove the landscape staples by using a screwdriver or hammer-claw to pull them up. When it comes to removing the landscape fabric, you need to first clear the area from mulch and rocks. Then, pull up the fabric and cut it using a knife or scissor.
